My dog is a shedding machine, and his muddy paws are a nightmare for my car’s upholstery. I’ve tried towels, but they don’t stay in place. Anyone have a good solution for protecting car seats during pet trips?

I can totally relate — my golden retriever leaves a trail of fur and dirt every time we go for a ride. I used to struggle with towels too, but they never stayed put and honestly didn’t help much. What worked for me was investing in a waterproof pet seat cover that straps securely over the back seat. It covers the entire area, including the backrest and even the sides, and is super easy to clean. Some even have seatbelt openings so you can still use safety restraints for your dog. Total game changer.
Also, if your pet travel plans include crossing borders or flying, don’t forget about the paperwork. For one of our recent trips, I had to update my visa and found this great free online service https://photogov.net/documents/us-passport-photo/ for creating US visa photos. You just take a photo with your phone, upload it, and it automatically resizes and formats everything to official standards. Way easier than going to a photo studio, and the result was accepted without any issues. Definitely recommend it if you're sorting out travel docs along with pet logistics.
